Life and Politics ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਅਤੇ ਰਾਜਨੀਤੀ

ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਇੱਕ ਬਹੁਮੁੱਲੀ ਦਾਤ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਰਾਜਨੀਤੀ ਸਿਰਫ ਵਪਾਰ। ਰਾਜਨੀਤੀ ਦਾ ਸਾਡੀ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵ ਜਰੂਰ ਹੁੰਦਾ ,ਪਰ ਰਾਜਨੀਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਹੀ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਬਣਾ ਲੈਣਾ ਉਚਿਤ ਨਹੀਂ। ਮੇਰੇ ਬਚਪਨ ਦੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਰਾਜਨੀਤੀ ਪਿੰਡ ਦੇ ਸੱਥਾਂ ਤਕ ਬਹੁਤੀ ਲੋਕਪ੍ਰਿਯ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੀ। ਉੱਥੇ ਸਿਰਫ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਦੀਆਂ ਸਮੱਸਿਆਵਾਂ ਜਾ ਪਿੰਡ ਨਾਲ ਸਬੰਧਿਤ ਮਸਲੇ ਵਿਚਾਰੇ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਸਨ। ਰਾਜਨੀਤੀ ਪ੍ਰਾਂਤ ਜਾ ਰਾਜ ਤਕ ਹੀ ਸੀਮਿਤ ਸੀ , ਇਸ ਦੀ ਚਰਚਾ ਵੋਟਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਕੁਝ ਕੁ ਮਹੀਨੇ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਸੀ ਉਹ ਵੀ ਬਹੁਤੀ ਜਿਆਦਾ ਨਹੀਂ। ਹੁਣ ਤਾਂ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਦਾ ਹਰ ਪਲ ਰਾਜਨੀਤੀ ਮਹਿਸੂਸ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਹਰ ਤੀਜੇ ਬੰਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਗੱਲ ਕਰੋ ਉਹ ਘੁੰਮ ਘੁਮਾ ਕੇ ਰਾਜਨੀਤੀ ਤੇ ਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ। ਇੰਝ ਲੱਗਦਾ ਜਿਵੇ ਸਾਡੇ ਕੋਲ ਹੋਰ ਕੋਈ ਵਿਸ਼ਾ ਹੀ ਨਾ ਹੋਵੇ। ਰਾਜਨੀਤੀ ਘਰਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਘੁਸ ਚੁੱਕੀ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਘਰਾਂ, ਰਿਸ਼ਤੇਦਾਰੀਆਂ ਤੇ ਪਿੰਡਾਂ ਚੋ ਬਾਹਰ ਕੱਢ ਸੁੱਟਣ ਦੀ ਲੋੜ ਹੈ।

ਦੂਸਰੀ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਰਾਜਨੀਤਿਕ ਪਾਰਟੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਹੈ। ਅਸੀਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਨੁਮਾਇੰਦੇ ਚੁਣ ਕੇ ਭੇਜਦੇ ਹਾਂ ,ਸਾਡੇ ਹੱਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਰਾਖੀ ਵਾਸਤੇ। ਜਿੱਤਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਟੋਲੇ ਵਿਚ ਮਸਤ ਚੁਣ ਕੇ ਭੇਜਣ ਵਾਲਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਭੁੱਲ ਕੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਨੇਤਾ ਦੀ ਹਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਹਾਂ ਮਿਲਾਉਣ ਤੋਂ ਇਲਾਵਾ ਹੋਰ ਕੁਝ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦੇ। ਜਦੋ ਤੁਹਾਡਾ ਮੁਖੀਆ ਗਲਤ ਫੈਸਲਾ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤੁਸੀਂ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਹਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਹਾਂ ਮਿਲਾਉਣ ਦੀ ਬਜਾਏ ਜਿਹਨਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਚੁਣ ਕੇ ਭੇਜਿਆ ਓਹਨਾ ਦੇ ਹੱਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਗੱਲ ਕਿਓਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦੇ ?? ਆਪਣੇ ਮੁਖੀਆ ਨੂੰ ਚੁਣੌਤੀ ਕਿਓਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਦਿੰਦੇ ??

Life is a precious gift and politics is a business. It is true politics affect our daily lives, but making your whole life a politics is not appropriate thing to do. When I was kid the people in villages used to discuss life and its struggle or problems related to village. Politics was never a topic in your daily life. Only a few months before provincial or federal election there was small discussions but not blame games. Now we feel everyday is a political day because every third person we talk to comes back to political discussion. It seems like we have no other topics related to our life. We need to through out the politics out of our family and relations.

The second request is to political parties. We elect our representative to speak for our rights. You get intoxicated after winning an election and back up your faction’s motive. You forget about the citizens who elect you and just keep backing up statements and decisions of your boss. You rarely consider the concerns of common citizens. Please correct your course.
