When I look for definition of love it shows up as below

• A willingness to prioritize another’s well-being or happiness above your own. ਦੂਜਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਭਲਾਈ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਤੋਂ ਉੱਪਰ ਰੱਖਣ ਦੀ ਇੱਛਾ।

• Extreme feelings of attachment, affection, and need. ਕਿਸੇ ਦੂਸਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਪਿਆਰ ਅਤੇ ਲਗਾਵ ਦੀ ਤੀਬਰ ਭਾਵਨਾ

• Dramatic, sudden feelings of attraction and respect. ਕਿਸੇ ਪ੍ਰਤੀ ਕੁਦਰਤੀ ਖਿੱਚ ਅਤੇ ਆਦਰ ਦੀਆਂ ਅਚਾਨਕ ਭਾਵਨਾਵਾਂ.

• A choice to commit to helping, respecting, and caring for another. ਕਿਸੇ ਹੋਰ ਦੀ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ, ਸਤਿਕਾਰ ਅਤੇ ਸੰਭਾਲ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਵਚਨਬੱਧ ਹੋਣ ਦੀ ਚੋਣ If we analyze love songs we find “Love is surrender” “Love is unbreakable” “Love is unconditional” etc. ਜੇਕਰ ਗੀਤਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੱਭਣ ਦੀ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਕਰੀਏ ਤਾਂ ਪਿਆਰ ਸਮਰਪਣ ਹੈ, ਪਿਆਰ ਅਟੁੱਟ ਹੈ, ਪਿਆਰ ਬਿਨਾਂ ਸ਼ਰਤ ਹੈ।

The conventional use of word love is often seen as a relation between boy and girl. I believe the word LOVE has broader meaning than the conventional use. It is a deep relation between two souls to the non physical dimension of the existence. I have experienced when you love someone you are willing to ignore his/her hundred mistakes with a smile. Whereas you argue with others even on small issues. I believe if you love someone you will not try to chain that person with you but leave him/her free to his/her will. Even if you are physically separated from the person, you will feel the person with you all the times. Nothing can stop you from loving that person.

ਪਿਆਰ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਦੀ ਰਵਾਇਤੀ ਵਰਤੋਂ ਅਕਸਰ ਲੜਕੇ ਅਤੇ ਲੜਕੀ ਦੇ ਰਿਸ਼ਤੇ ਵਜੋਂ ਵੇਖੀ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ। ਮੇਰਾ ਮੰਨਣਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਰਵਾਇਤੀ ਵਰਤੋਂ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਪਿਆਰ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਦਾ ਵਿਸ਼ਾਲ ਅਰਥ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਦੋਹਾਂ ਰੂਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਹੋਂਦ ਦੇ ਗੈਰ ਭੌਤਿਕ ਤਲ ਤੇ ਡੂੰਘਾ ਸੰਬੰਧ ਹੈ। ਮੈਂ ਅਨੁਭਵ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ ਜਦੋਂ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਕਿਸੇ ਨੂੰ ਪਿਆਰ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋ, ਤੁਸੀਂ ਉਸ ਦੀਆਂ ਸੌ ਗ਼ਲਤੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੁਸਕੁਰਾਹਟ ਨਾਲ ਨਜ਼ਰ ਅੰਦਾਜ਼ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਤਿਆਰ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹੋ। ਜਦੋਂ ਕਿ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਛੋਟੇ ਮਸਲਿਆਂ ਤੇ ਵੀ ਦੂਜਿਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਬਹਿਸ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋ। ਮੇਰਾ ਮੰਨਣਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਜੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਕਿਸੇ ਨੂੰ ਪਿਆਰ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋ, ਤਾਂ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਉਸ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਾਲ ਬੰਨ੍ਹਣ ਦੀ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰੋਗੇ। ਪਰ ਉਸਨੂੰ ਉਸਦੀ ਇੱਛਾ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਆਜ਼ਾਦ ਛੱਡ ਦਿਓਗੇ। ਭਾਵੇਂ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਸਰੀਰਕ ਤੌਰ ‘ਤੇ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਖ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹੋ, ਤੁਸੀਂ ਉਸ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਹਰ ਸਮੇਂ ਮਹਿਸੂਸ ਕਰੋਗੇ। ਕੁਝ ਵੀ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਪਿਆਰ ਕਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਰੋਕ ਸਕਦਾ।
